We grow our garlic on Abagadasset Family Farm in Bowdoinham, Maine.

Abagadasset Farm is a family legacy, passed down to us in 2012. Despite its initial challenges, the farm's potential was clear. We've invested in its restoration, creating a fertile space for our garlic to thrive.

Our garlic journey began with a single bucket of heirloom Music garlic, a variety renowned for its robust flavor and hardy nature. We've cultivated this garlic using sustainable practices, avoiding chemicals and commercial fertilizers.

Our Garlic Growing Journey

We planted our first garlic crop in 2014, using top-quality compost without chemicals or commercial fertilizers. Each bulb yielded 6-8 new plants yearly, and the crop expanded rapidly. After harvesting, we hang the garlic to dry and cure in the barn’s cool, dry air. By 2024, we had harvested over 20,000 bulbs

The Process

After the garlic is dry, each bulb is individually inspected for any imperfections, then the roots are trimmed and the outermost wrappers removed. The clean white bulbs are then ready to be delivered to our customers.
